The Madison County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has county-wide coverage of aerial photography.  These photographs, along with Global Positioning System (G.P.S.) allows the GIS division to perform multiple tasks for the various County departments.  Some of the functions of this division have been to assist the Election Commission with splitting voter precincts, the Road Department in maintaining data relative to the many County roads, such as public or private, length and surface type, the Board of supervisors in setting boundaries for Fire Districts, Utility Districts, and any other applications that are deemed necessary and appropriate.

Request for data from Madison County should be addressed to the GIS Division.  The cost of each request is based on number of items and type of media requested.  The GIS Division will notify you of your total cost once the request is received. Items must be paid for prior to delivery.  Checks can be made out to Madison County GIS Division.  Requests can either be mailed to PO Box 608, Canton, MS 39046 or faxed to (601) 859-7083.
